Progress so far....A big hole in the ground
Hauling water by bucket before the well was here.

Our rig...buying vacant land w/o utility service has its challenges.  One is how to get water to your job site.  this is how we hauled water from our house to the vacant lot.

This is what Steve was doing while I was handing down the buckets of water.

Oops, visit from the local FD...I will write about that day in a different entry!

Steve hard at work.

Kris trying to keep up with Steve!

Steve's house was sunk into the ground 8 ft to take advantage of geothermal temps.  Almost there!

Falling creates a sensation of fear due to the uncertainty of where you might land.

However; the feeling of freedom obtained by not being attached can be exhilarating.

This thrill is sought after by many in the form of bungee jumping, hang gliding, and parachuting.

I sought this in my own unique way.  I sold nearly everything I owned.  Detached from my belongings and set out to create my own home based on a recipe of ideas, courage and teamwork.

My husband had a dream.  A dream of building an inexpensive, earth friendly, easy to maintain home.  He worked on the plans for this dream for years.  Initially on paper, then he built models of the home.

I had a dream of creating my own world and being free from debt.  It is not an easy dream; but, with the buyers real estate market serving up inexpensive vacant land and a willing spirit  together we have began the journey of a lifetime.

I hope to capture the realization of this dream in my blog.  I hope you join me from time to time to see how it goes.

Thanks for being part of the team!
